I am the only one who uses my computer and therefore I do not need password protection. Is it possible to by-pass the password screen which appears when XP is loading?
Just go to change password and in the enter new password box, hit enter, giving you a blank password.
If you are using XP, go to Control Panel/ User Accounts/Change an account/Click administrator/Click create a password/Type your current password into the first box/ Leave the others blank/Click Create password. Problem solved.
Hello rawprawn,I have carried out your instructions but I still do not by-pass the password screen.
Start, Run, type incontrol userpasswords2and click OK.Untick "Users must enter a user name and password..."
try click here and get tweakui.....you will find a setting to allow you to auto log-on straight into windows.
