Password protected, self-extracting ZIP file

  Mr. Chips 12:33 23 Dec 2007

I seem to remember, some time back, using an application which would zip a number of files and produce a .exe file, including password access.

The idea wss that this file could be emailed, with the addressee just needing to click on the executable file.
The user would be expected to use a pre-advised password, and the file would then extract the Zipped files.

Am I wrong? ... Is this just a fanciful thought? ... cos look like I have, I can't find the application.

Can anyone advise please?

The great advantage of this was that the receiver didn't need anything his end.
