Partitioning - Help!

  Shark boy 16:39 27 Oct 2009

using vista home premium, I want to extend my C:\ drive. I have made my D:\ drive (empty) disk smaller, and there is unallocated space in Windows Drive Management. But when I right click on the C:\ drive, the option is blacked out. How do I enable this?

Any advice would be tip toparoo,

Google for pm9_express.msi download and install. It gives a very good graphical interface for partitioning.

If you have "C" partition, then "D" partition, then Unallocated Space, you may not be able to expand "C" drive because "D" is between it and the Unallocated Space.

If "D" drive is definitely unused and empty, you could delete its partition, expand "C" drive to the size you want and then create a new "D" partition in the remaining Unallocated Space.
