Hi people, I have been reading this forum for a while now and more often than not i always see a partition query. So I thought I would ask you techs out there the benefits of partion and also how I would go about it.

Partiotioning treats your hard drive as more than on ehard drive. The main benefit of keeping a separate partition for documents etc. is that you will still have them if for any reason you need to reinstall windows or similar. As you have windows already on your system, you'll need something like partiton magic to divide up your disk. If you are prepared to reinstall everything, you can do it using your Windows install CD.

I use Acronis simply because I got it free and it's good. But most on the forum use Partition Magic It makes the job of partitioning easy
