I have a notebook with XP Professional installed on a 12 gig hard disk.
I need to run a program that will not run on XP. Is it possible to partition say 3 gig of spare drive to form another drive to install 2000 on?
I just cannot get the right responses from XP despite following their instructions.

Yes but you need Partition Magic or one of the others I use Acronis, To do what you want load the software and run when you get into the program it should show a slider for the drive C:\ you have to drag the slider to make it smaller then create a new partition with the free space that’s left I think Drive Image also as a dual boot facility on the CD
