parameter not found

Hi all, I hope someone might be able to help.
When I go into display, settings, advanced, then try to open the tab for my nvidia 6600gt I am getting an error message that says NVCPL parameter is incorrect, however when I close the error window all seems to work as normal. I have had a look around numerous forums and found several threads asking the same, but I cannot find any answers, does anyone have any ideas?

sounds like a driver issue.
With graphics cards its always advisable to uninstall the old driver first before installing a new one, doing so can save a lot of hassle.

For example, i have fitted upgraded graphics cards to my and other peoples pc's and i always boot up with the old card, uninstall the driver, then shut down and THEN change the card and install the new driver.
