Parallell Port Printer
My friend who has an ancient computer has been trying to buy an Epson C20XS Printer as she does not have any USB connections.
We have looked all the usual places like Dabs and Novatech with no success - can anyone advise where to look next - have done ebay also!

Checked that link out but it is the Printer itself she is looking for - any printer with a parallel port connection!

My Epson Colour 680 has parallel port connection, performs very well, ? possible alternative?

It might be easier, (and give a wider choice of printers), to add a PCI USB card.

You would have to ensure that your friends PC is running a USB compatible version of Windows, and has a PCI slot free. Versions of Windows prior to Win 95B OSR/2 version 4.03.1214, will not support USB.

These cards are not expensive.

Neither of us know enough to add this card - can't find Epson Colour 680 either! Maybe unsolvable

Cannot find the printer model that you suggest [C20XS],but there's a good selection of Epson's via click here

The nearest and possible cheapest was the Epson Stylus C66 [£49.89], which as both parallel and usb connections.
