Paper roll for Epson?

I'm trying to print off some family trees which are wider than landscape A4. So far I've done this by printing three 3 landscape A4s and sticking them together.

My printer (Epson 1290S) has a roll paper holder to print panoramas. The only roll paper I can find, though, is glossy photo stock and is very expensive.

Does anyone know where I could get a roll of plain/inkjet paper?

Thanks,

Gary

How wide do you need??
Why not cellotape the sheets together then print it out??

You can also try tractor drive paper ( used to be used on Dot Matrix printers)

Or you could use Telex rolls.

I think Viking Direct still sell telex rolls.

Sorry that link not working. Go to click here

and put "telex rolls" in the search box.

Thank you all for your replies.

I have been using sheets of A4 and using sticky-tape to join them together - I just want something more professional to present the finished tree.

Ideally, I want it to be 210mm wide, like A4, although my printer can print on A3, so anything up to that wide would work.

I don't want to use glossy paper, which appears to be the only type Epson sells, because it's too expensive.

pj123 - the telex rolls look like what I'm wanting. However, are these not made from very thin thermal paper like was used in old fax machines? If so, I don't think it would be suitable for inkjet printing?

No, telex rolls are the same paper as the A4 sheet paper, somewhere around 80gsm.

The come in Single ply, 2-ply up to about 4-ply I think. You want Single ply.

Thanks pj123, I'll try and get hold of some and see how I get on.

Ideally, I'd hoped that I'd be able to get a coated paper (like Epson's Photo Quality Inkjet Paper, if anyone is familiar with that), but at least plain telex rolls will provide a solution for now.

Thanks again,

Gary

I think minimum order is 6 rolls.

Ho-Lin-Sok - You're right: telex roles must be ordered in multiples of 6 from Viking Direct.

Anyone know where I can get them individually?

Gary
