I am plagued by something called panostandalone, it disrupts programmes and updates (eg AVG) and prevents computer closing down. Microsoft say it results from an error in software produced by Hewlett Packard (I recently downloaded camera info). Hp do not seem to have a solution, neither do Microsoft. Help! How do I get rid of it?

Thanks for your good advice, uninstalled hp software and panostandalone disappeared. Haven't tried re-installing it yet! Perhaps it is't a virus.
