Has anyone else had probs with Panda ActiveScan in the last few days / couple of weeks?
When I last tried to run it (on 2 separate PCs, one XP Home, one XP Pro), it updated its plugin in some way (as well as downloaded latest signatures etc.) and then when I clicked for it to commence its scan it just froze at the point of scanning memory. Had to use Task Manager to close the process.
Re-running has same effect (except it doesn't update the plugin again).
Have tried contacting Panda direct, but no response from them.
Thanks, that's certainly a possibility, but I've never found anything that's needed removing. Even if I did, I'd just roll back to the most recent Acronis system image (or earlier, if necessary) - it's much cleaner and more certain.
I use AdAware, Housecall, SpyBot and AVG in my armoury as well anyhow - but as we (hopefully) know, none of them are perfect.
