recap 10:35 13 Jan 2007

After install MS Updates I got a BSD with the page fault message and 0x0000005 (0xE468F000, 00000000 etc.

After looking on the MS knowledge base site for a fix, nothing there points to anything I have recently done on my system, with the exception of the MS updates.

Anybody throw any light on this BSD for me please?

I am going out in a few minutes so I will look in later.

unfortunately that is probably one of the worst faults to trouble shoot , i have had a few to repair with that fault and the fix has been faulty ram , faulty software and a faulty OS , it was differant everytime , normally the error code helps but not in htis instance

i had the same fault myself once and it turned out my sata cable had come loose!

basically its windows trying to write to an area its not allowed to write to

id go for removing the updates first see if that helps

Thanks archir123. This will not be the first time windows updates have caused problems.
