Page file problem

Hi All

Recently my pc has started coming back with the message " no page file or page file too small, please change in advance and performance settings."

I have checked this and the current size is 20 MB. When i try to increase this, it always goes back to 20 MB on a restart.

Can anyone help please?

Win2k pro, 1GB ram.

How are you increasing paging: System Properties/Advanced/Performance Options/Change, and after change click 'set'?

With 1Gb of RAM you "should" be able to turn off the paging file completely and have no problems. When you alter the Paging filesize, are you clicking the "SET" button after alterations?

I use 1.5Gb's RAM and set my Virtual Memory to 0(despite dire warnings from XP)as XP,every install, kept hogging most of a 7Gb partition for Virtual Memory(4Gb's!) click here

To MichelleC the answer is yes but it always goes back to 20MB on a restart.

To Chegs how do i turn this off in win2kpro?

Do you not get a screen view similar to my "click here" above,in 2K?

No Chegs, I have win 2k pro not XP which is what you have.

I can set the values to zero and this in theory will disable the paging file.
