'The page cannot be displayed' message on web pages. I get this message appear on some web pages including at the top of this one just below PC Advisor & above the Helproom title.

I assume it must be a ad or pop up blocker doing something?

Any ideas?

Are you running a hosts file? If so try HostsToggle click here

Thanks VoG. Tried the download but no good. I'ms still getting the same messages. It's clearly ads being blocked by something which is all very well but I would like to see my pages in full.

I have Norton, Spysweeper & Windows Defender on permanent monitor but I have checked the settings in all & I don't think there is anything left on to block parts of pages.

Could it be a setting in Internet Options?

I had similar problems with this site. (PCA) Given that it is a safe site try it with all ad blocking and pop up controls set to off.

If it works you will have to play around with controls until it works with controls set at the right level. The Environment Agency site eg did not work for me with controls, particularly cookie control.

Incidentally , the same happened with E-Bay site.
