Packard Bell EasyNote mx37 driver

I have a Packard Bell EasyNote mx37 which i have formatted and installed XP on. it was running Vista before and the sound worked fine, however now i have no sound. i have no driver for the soundcard and I cannot find a driver that will install properly, i have checked the PB website and they only offer drivers for vista machines

you will need to extract and run the file wdm-256.exe from the zip file.

Hi Fruit Bat,

I did as you said but i got this error message,

Instal Realtek Driver Failure !!

[Error Code :0xE0000227]

do i need other software ?

Is the registry wrong ?

i did the following and it worked !!!!!

Go to Device Manager/Device Drivers

Disable microsoft UAA bus driver ... Uninstall UAA bus driver

Install realtek driver and it will work
