Overclocking a Thorton chip

I read in a mag that the Thorton chip can be clocked to 200Mhz x 11=2100Ghz with ease as it uses the barton core chip. Well, i have one of these in my A7V8X with Pc3200 DDR and mine falls over at 152Mhz. I can get her to run at 15x150=2.25Ghz with Vcore at 1.75 but where is the 200Mhz! This is no better than my 2400xp throughbread!

has anyone else had the same issue or am i missing something here. I havn't re-connected the 256kb cache on L2 bridge yet. Is this necessary to make it perform like a real barton.

Just a thought but it might be better to ask this question on a more specialist site, this one deals with overclocking click here if they can't help try this one click here and if you still don't get an answer contact the magazine that you refer to, they should have a website or possibly a forum that will help.

good luck.
