just a quick question... :)
i recently purchased a Gainward 7600GS 256mb DDR3 card - 'Goes like hell' edition (which means it has the ability to run in pre-overclocked settings.
the overclocked settings are 500mhz for the core clock and 1200mhz for the memory. (safe mode settings are 400/800mhz)
i was just wandering would it be recommended to overclock the card any more than this.. it has a dynamic fan and is running at about 40C most on the time on the pre overclocked setting.

thanks..

have a look at the nvidia card forum at guru3d.com there is a all you need to know sticky on overclocking.

coolbits in nvidias words allows you to use the card at the setting they designed it for. they throttle back the cards a little as some cases run hotter than others etc. if you use coolbits on the nvidia settings you will be fine i fried a 7600gt by pushing it too far so be carefull, and keep an eye on the temps click here
