I have always wanted to overclock my cpu (AMD 3800 x2, 939) on a GA-K8NF-9 Board. Now i dont know the first thing about how to up the fsb, frequency Et al, Have tried using the EasyTune software that comes on the Drivers disk but i managed to push it to 2500 mhz and it locked up. Quickly reset the pc and it went back to normal.

I would just like an extra 200mhz or maybe a bit more if possible but without using EasyTune.

I have a Zalman CNPS9500 fan keeping the cpu temp at a cool 29c when idle and about 40c on load so i have room for more speed.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to up my speed safely and easily?

Thats only the single core version, i have the bottom of the range dual core 3800x2, but i guess the principle is the same. Will up the voltage and up the fsb.

be careful not to go to far or you could have a cooked cpu.
