Outlook Spell checker default

I am running Outlook 2003 and have to Spell checker set with English UK as the Default. However as I try to 'Send' each email it comes up with errors and the spell checker shown as English US at the bottom of the message. When I check the default spell checker in Tools it is set as English UK. Why is it insisting on checking with English US?

Maybe if you go into Word and check the spelling language there it could help. I have Outlook 2000 and there, mine is set to English UK via Tools/Options/Spelling. Do a similar check with Word just to see if there is a connection there.

Have fun!

Thanks TonyV You sent me on the correct path - I went into Start/Programmes/Microsoft Office/Langauge Tools and set up English as default and removed US - all working A1 now
