Outlook Out-of-Office Assistant

This feature should be in Tools as an add-in. Help tells me the file is 'Outex2.ecf' but does not recognise the extension. The Microsoft site has no such download & does not seem to recognise it.
There is a folder that must have come with my Office XP Pro 2002 that includes a lot of *.ecf files - Office/Office10/Addins.
Can anybody help me with installing this?
Alternatively I wish to auto-reply to incoming e.mails to give unavailability dates, but only to selected addresses and NOT to spam. Thus the feature in my Freeeserve account is not suitable.
