Outlook - mysterious emails being sent

  round1s 10:08 13 Oct 2007

For a number of weeks now I have constantly had 1 or 2 emails being sent from my Outlook 2003 SP2. There always seems to be a message in the bottom right hand corner saying that emails are being sent, but it never ends. I've checked my outbox and sent and there is nothing in there. Is my PC being used to bulk send emails?? Does anyone have any idea what is going on and also what I can do to resolve it?

I have also run a full virus scan and ran Spybot, but still nothing to show for it and still Outlook continues to show that messages are being sent.

First is to make sure your anti virus is up-to-date and then disconnect from the internet. Then:

1. Turn off system restore and reboot into safe mode.
2. Run spybot in safe mode
3. Run Microsoft bit defender in safe mode

also go to click here when reconnected and run the free online scan.

Post Back result please...
