Hi! I'm looking after an exchange server feeding outlook (2003) accounts and every now and then a message comes in (a spam message) that won't download and outlook continously tries to download it. I can use webmail and clear out the mail but this takes time everytime it happens. ANd when I'm not around the users struggle to do it. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to make IE download it anyway like webmail does. ta vey much C
Hi WE, Thanks very much for your reply No, the mail comes direct to SBS Exchange store on the server. Then the messages are downloaded from there. I've just been reading about a floor in outlook 2002 that allows people to send malformed headers that create a sort of Denial of Service attack by preventing outlook from continuing to download mail beyond the point of the malformed mail. - BUT, The patch only works for Outlook 2002 and I'm running outlook 2003. I'm having to use excahnge web mail to delete the spam that causes the problem....very annoying ta C
