Outlook Express settings not working

  zoobie 00:17 21 Nov 2006

I've got my OE set to not download images (tools>options>security>block images and other external content) which may identify my computer as having received spam. However, I open up a spam email and there's the image(s). What's the scoop? Thx

The image is contained within the email, not fetched from a website by an html link.
Get Mailwasher if you are having problems with spam.

I guess theres no option to leave email on the server with OE. Thx

I'll have to switch clients which will actually be a relief.
Pegasus checks the POP server first...I also need IMAP. Any other recommended free ones that do this? Thx

to leave a copy of mail on server go to
tools/accounts/mail/properties/advanced/leave copy of mail on server;

however, it looks as though you wish for a spam awareness tool so you do not take into your oE the spam messages? as stated above , the maIlwasher program is good for that. allows you to see what is on server and even preview the mail IN mailwasher to check it out

so;; what exactly IS your question? and what are you trying to achieve?
