Outlook Express sending mail as text not HTML??

I am running XP pro and using Outlook Express ver 6

All of a sudden, I am starting to get mail messages through in a jumbled up text format instead of the usual HTML format. The messages start with:-

This is multi-part message in MIME format.

--NextPart_048F8BC8A2197DE2036A
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252

for example.

It was happening with PayPal messages and a few eaby ines as well to begin with, so I thought it was their problem. Then suddenly today, a totally unassociated email from a book company came in the same way.
It came form the companies email address [email protected] and the messages have no to address. Also the subject line tends to be missing. This message looked like this:-

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

--MIMEBoundary1c2e0b623af3316222b11a15a1d44044
Content-Type: text/plain;charset="ISO-8859-1"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

then there is some normal non-HTML message text and it ends in:

--MIMEBoundary1c2e0b623af3316222b11a15a1d44044
Content-Type: text/html;charset="ISO-8859-1"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

And there is lots more HTML to the end ofg the message - this is a typical example. I get messages in this jumbled up format at about 2 or 3 a day.

i appreciate any help - Thanks.

but I am not sure what to look for - especially as I only get the odd message (yet very annoying) with this problem, amongst all the 'normal' ones, making it intermittent.

Here is the way this the message looked that came through to tell me I had a response to this thread, no MIME header this time, just lots of HTML:-
