Outlook Express and the Registry

I use Outlook Express Version 6.0 but when I was looking through my Registry Items and expanded the Outlook Express folder it showed 5.0 in the folder below. Does this matter? I think I upgraded from 5.0 to 6.0 a long time ago.

This is because the new version has taken over the registry entries to make sure that when it upgraded it keeps the settings that you had.

Yeah its normal. You will have a key called

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Version Info

And the value should be 6,0,2600,0000

Yes, it does show the value suggested by spikeychris. Thanks. Was just a bit confused why the Registry was still showing 5.0 when I'm using 6.0
