trying to satisfy my curiosity about a query I have seen elsewhere ;do you use Outlook express and do you always see the address in the from box even if you only use oe for one account?

I don't think that this is specific to OE but some spam-type messages appear to be totally blank. I assume that this is due to ISP filtering but that's just a guess.

Hope this helps
Of course , if you are a spammer and have access to the correct coding you could hide it, or make it bounce off someone else's computer, giving a false address, but you would not do that-- Would you ?.

I think I have now answered my own question on this one and really owe wak an apology from comments on another thread

I was on an XP machine to day that I have only registered one address on; I noticed that it did NOT display my mail address

my humble appologies to wak who is right and I am wrong; with only one address you really have no need OF the from bar as there is only one address it IS from;

so WAK; if you read this; applogies to you::)))
