I have recently moved to talk talj having previously been on dial up with freeserve. I can access my email account via the orange home page but am unable to access via outlook. I have checked the pop3 server to be correct (pop.freeserve.co.uk) and the smtp server to be correct (smtp.freeserve.co.uk). any suggestions. Lesj
Since Talk Talk are now providing your Internet connection you won't be able to use Freeserve's smtp server to send emails. To do that you need to be connected to the Internet through an Orange/Freeserve connection. I would think you may be able to receive emails from their pop3 server though. Try entering pop.freeserve.co.uk as your pop3 and smtp.talktalk.net as your smtp. However, if you don't connect through your Freeserve account for a long time then they could delete it.
