Outlook express mail sending settings

OS, XP Home SP1 + all critical updates

I have been informed by some of my contacts that when I send mail it includes a HTML attachment.

I understand that you can set OE to either send HTML or plain text.
My sending settings have always been the default HTML for mail plain text for news.
To my knowledge this has never resulted in sending HTML attachments.

Please could anyone tell me if this is due to an update or if something else may be causing this?

If I reset mail sending to text only will this prevent me from sending other attachments?

I believe this happens when the receiver can only receive plain text, it includes the original html mail as an attachment.

I think anyway.. although I wouldn't bet my life on it :-)

If you go to OE's Tools>Options>Send and Compose tabs you will find the configuration settings menu.

The Read tab also has font settings but the defaults should suffice.
