Thanks for replying people.

Jackcoms - I tried System Restore but the problem persists even when I go back to times when I know it was good.

Al94 - Tried that several times with the same result.

buteman - I don`t use One Care. I have AVG Free, Defender, Ad-Aware SE, Spybot S&D, a-squared Free and SpywareBlaster.

Diversion - Tried downloading and installing but got the message that `a later version` was installed and the process shut down.

I still have the problem and another that has just occurred that I will start another thread on.

I find this very weird!!!

Whilst trying to resolve this problem, my second drive lost all its information click here and suddenly OE is working again.

How on earth a drive I use to store my data on can affect a program on a totally separate drive I have no idea. Anyone else have any clues?

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
