I am having difficulty downloading emails in Outlook Express.I am using Bullguard Anti-virus & Firewall.I have the Generic Host Process For Win 32 BLOCKED.If I set this to ALLOW I have no problem downloading emails.The problem is I then get a dialogue box appear with the following message."Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"The computer then shuts down and I have to reboot.Then after between 5 or 10 minutes online this dreadful thing keeps happening.The only way I can get rid of it is by doing a SYSTEM RESTORE.I've even re-installed Windows without success.Could someone please help - it's driving me mental.I'm using Windows XP Media Centre Edition.All help very much appreciated.
what sort of anti virus do you have? try a full scan.johnny.
