outlook express error message ' no memory'

when I try to send or reply to messages I receive message 'not enough memory to open' and cannot send messages, receiving similar message 'not enough memory'. How do I repair this?

What OS are you running ? If it's ME or earlier it could be a 'virtual memory' [swap file] problem. Windows OS up to ME don't handle virtual memory very well and don't always free it whan an application is closed. Usually a reboot is required to free it. You could try closing any un-needed applications.

Windows XP. I forgot to mention that this problem has happened since I had the Blaster virus which I thought I had got rid of....but I wonder if its still in my system!

Try running windows update. There are probably patches/upgrades for OE by now.

I think that there are occassional problems using update if you have blaster
