[sorry, posted in other forum by mistake] OE fails to reconnect (times out) and produces error message 0x800ccc19. Only a reboot allows me to check my mail - and then only once before the problem recurs. Windows XP, SP2, Norton Security, Tiscali Broadband.
Thank you Cook2. I will work my way through the list. However one causes me concern, and is the one rsturbo suggests. If there is a conflict with my AV program, and I do stop it scanning my email does that not leave me vulnerable? Isn't scanning email a major role of AV software? Or have I missed something?
yes I was going to mention it would have something to do with Norton..I was hearing this happening last week to alot of people and its linked with Norton updates. so lets hope its worked whatever you have done.
