Since transferring Outlook Express 6 to my new hard drive I get the following error message every time I close it:- 'the instruction at "0x77f5215e" referenced memory at "0x00924b7c". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate programme'. What does this mean?? Also I used to have the programme disconnect from the internet automatically once it had received all messages but cannot do this now. Help please!!

Try this and post back if it doesn't work.

File|Folder|Compact All Folders, it will free up OE.

Also tick the box in tools, options, connections, hang up after sending and recieving.

This specifies that Outlook Express disconnects from your Internet connection after you click Send/Recv.
