Outlook - Entry Point Not Found

  Indigo 1 17:00 11 Apr 2005

When opening Outlook I get a pop-up error window which says;

Outlook Today - Microsoft Outlook: OUTLOOK.EXE - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point GetlUMS could not be located in the Dynamic Link Library. MSDART.DLL

If I click OK 7 times it goes away and Outlook opens and does not appear to have any problems.

It has been happening for some time now and previous attempts to Restore Win XP Pro failed to fix it.

This probably seems really simple to someone but it is now getting on my nerves.

Any help appreciated.

If it is Outlook 2000 or later try Detect and Repair from the Help menu in Outlook.

Detect and repair doesn't help.

pauldonovan, thanks, will give it a try.

I tried Googling it but got nothing of any use !

...I'd be tempted to run the latest MDAC install to see if that fixes it....

Well I tried but could not download the file MDAC_TYP.EXE, will try again later when the site is not too busy, it starts to download but doesn't complete and I get another error message saying something like 'Connection to site lost' with options to retry or cancel.

If someone else has a copy perhaps they could email it to me.
