Using Outlook 2002 with Windows XP

In the email section of Outlook, when I bring up the screen to send an email. Where I have to click on the sections "From" and "To" to bring up my email address, Is there any way of leaving my email address in the "FROM" box rather that have to bring it up every time I write an email.

Hi osben

You don't need to have the "From" field visible or completed.

On the screen for a new email go to View and untick the "From field" and then close it by the X top right.

No further emails will have the field but emails will still still show your name to people who receive them. You can test this by sending an email to yourself.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply. I have tried doing what you suggested but, I clicked on "NEW" on the toolbar which brought up the window for a new email. I have clicked on VIEW on the toolbar but I do not have a "from field" in the view drop down menu.

As I said earlier, I am using Microsoft XP 2002 Outlook with Windows XP.

mimram is correct.

Have you clicked the arrow at the bottom of the View menu?
