Outlook contacts: SBE Types?

  dreambrian 14:28 29 Nov 2004

I'm using Outlook 2003 (Office XP) and have some contacts which have a different Icon to the normal one. The icon looks like a yellow folder with a blue pair of spectacles over.
When I double click on these to open them, I receive a message saying:

'The custom form cannot be opened. Outlook will use an outlook form instead.'

When I click OK the contact opens.

When I check 'File'>'properties' of any of these contact sheets when they're open; under 'Type' it says 'SBE'.

When I do the same with a normal contact, 'Type' says 'Contact'

Could anyone help me with this problem so that I can I save these as normal contacts so this message stops apppearing?
Thanks. Brian

Sounds like these contacts were previously created in a Small Business Edition of Microsoft software and thus may have used a different standard form from that package which does not exist in OL2003. Have you tried changing the property to say 'Contact' instead of 'SBE' on one to see if that resolves?

Thanks for this.
I can't d this. I can't overwrite the letters SBE, It is not allowed.

Do you have the previous SBE software still? If so try opening them in that software and retrieve the details to create new contacts in Outlook 2003.
