Outlook - can't open links

  oldbeefer2 23:05 28 Sep 2008

Friend of mine picked up the Antivirus 2009 trojan. I emailed her a link to a removal tool which she was unable to click on - said 'unable to enter internet path here'. She says it's been the same for other links she has been sent. XP and Outlook 2003. Am I missing something obvious? (She has been able to download the tool and get rid of the pest by entering the address manually). Thanks.

Just met up with friend after long absence overseas - html is set, but she still cannot open links in emails. Any more ideas, please?

If she uses IE7.Try tools Internet options Advanced. And press reset. This will reset IE7 to its original state and may also get Outlook express working again.

buteman - thanks. She's on IE6. Perhaps the answer is to upgrade to 7. VoG - thanks, but as mentioned in original post she is on Outlook 2003.

As far as I know the fix is the same for Outlook 2003.

VoG. Ok, thanks - I'll get onto it.

She's running IE7 which had slightly different options, but your link has got her emails working as they oughter! Many thanks.
