Is there any way of using Outlook with BT Broadband ? I have to put up with their (BT) webmail programme and cannot seem to get outlook (Express or full version) to function properly. HELP !!!

outlook express6 works ok for me. The settings I use are.......

General
Mail account - mail.btinternet.com
name - your own
e-mail adress - your own

Severs
POP3
Incoming - mail.btinternet.com
Outgoing - smtp.btinternet.com
account name (not email adress) - your own

Hope that's of some use to you.

Hope you can follow that. This site in its wisdom has reformatted the way I sent it.

BTB works well with either Outlook or OE6.

Use Pop3 and SMPT as cdb says (Btinternet or btopenworld are valid)

"log on using secure password authentication" - leave unchecked

Outgoing mail server authentication - also leave unchecked.

Should work fine.

i have bt b/b and i use postcast server to send my mail because freeserve wont let me send but will let me receive, i found unless you pay for a webmail you are restricted to the size you can send this way i have sent 9.5mb and can receive 10mb and all at b/b speed
