I use virgin media outlook 2007 on my pc and laptop is there any way of both machines recieving the same e mails.

Yes. Look in advanced options and set the option "Leave copy of messages on the server." They will then be available to both machines. You could use IMAP instead of POP. Look in the Virgin Help area for this method - they give a very good reason for doing it this way which basically synchronises both machines with the mailboxes.

Which e-mail client are you using? (Outlook, Windows Mail, Thunderbird)

Outlook 2007 - Tools - Account settings - choose your virgin media account and change - click on more settings and then you will find the advanced tab.

Much better to go down the imap route.

The settings are the same. Admittedly the interface is slightly different but the tabs and menus are almost identical. Virgin IMAP on Outlook 2007
