I have Outlook 2007, but cannot open docx documents.Any help would be appreciated
I have office 2007, the default save is docx isnt it?how do i open the files please?
Do you have an earlier version of Word installed as well as Word 2007?

Right click on the attachment icon, select Save As and save it to somewhere memorable. Find the file that you just saved and double click it - does it open in Word?If not, right click the file > Open With > click Browse > select Word (or winword.exe), tick Always use... and click OK.
I did that Vog and it still doesnt work.
What do you mean by "doesnt work"?Do other .docx documents open correctly?
no they dont not even ones I open as new documents.
what about other Office 2007 docs, do they open? (Excel/Ppt/Publisher etc). Do u definitely have full Office 2007 including Word, installed?How long has this been happening? If u can identify this u might be able to resore to an earlier time.Final option is, u may need to reinstall, as obviously something is corrupted somewhere. If you have the discs u could go for a 'Repair' install.
