Outlook 2007 email issue

  CThody 00:06 22 Feb 2008

I can't get email on 2007 Outlook to send when clicking the send button in the mail message window. Rather than send it puts the message in the outbox for sending later. How do I change this setting?

I don't have 2007, but in 2003, under Tools/Options then the Mail Set Up tab, I have a 'Send immediately when connected' box. If you have similar you may want to check this is ticked. Also, in the same place there is a 'send/receive' button. Click this and then adjust the auto send/receive times; it may be set at something daft like 20 mins.

Thanks for posting this response. Outlook 2007 doesn't seem to have this particular option (that I can find anyway) so still searching! Cheers.

In Windows Mail

Select Tools | Options... from the menu.
Go to the Send tab.
Make sure Send messages immediately is checked.
Click OK.
