I am apparently sending out read receipts for every email I receive an open, Can you tell me if I have something 'ticked/checked' which is causing this. Unfortunately I am receiving 4 or so emails a day since returning from USA - 'you have a card waiting for you' and such like. It bothers me that I may have sent out a receipt, even although I have not opened these.

On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options.
Click Tracking Options.
Click one of the following:
Always send a response Send a read receipt whenever one is requested.
Never send a response Deny a read receipt whenever one is requested.
Ask me before sending a response Be notified when a read receipt is requested.
