Outlook 2003 vs Outlook Express

I'm about to be XP'd at work which means I get Outlook 2003 in place of Lotus Notes, so I thought I'd move from OE6 to Outlook 2003 at home but......

1. i need a news reader that is basically the same as that in OE6 - any suggestions

2. In OE6 I have a rule set up so that I don't download my dad's email as we both use the same email domain name. However, looking at the rules in Outlook 2003 you can only apply rules after downloading the message, where as in OE6 if you check the 'To' field it has the option to 'Do not download from server'.

Has anyone got any advice, or should I just stick to OE6 at home (only really gonna move so that I was always using the same email client at home and work and to also get the calander from outlook so I can remember bdays!!)

Thanks.

Steve.

1. Outlook 2003 runs Outlook Express as its newsreader ... strange but true.
