Forgive me but I have just come to Outlook as I have found that I had software that entitled me to Office as an upgrade.
Previously when I started Outlook Express as my email client it would start my dial up connection automatically, wait until it had connected and then send/receive. Outlook does not do this - I have to connect manually before starting Outlook otherwise the Send/Receive fails. Is there a way round this or is it just that Outlook is designed for networks and 'always on' connections?
Many thanks in anticipation.
