Outlook 2000 (item left in Outbox)

Any idea why a copy of each email is left in the Outbox when I send them?
It also goes in the Sent box, but I have to manually delete the record in the OutBox.
My emails are set to be 'sent immediately when connected' and they are checked by Norton Antivirus.

somewher in tools options or accounts properties there is a box which you will find needs unticking i would think.

in options/email options then advanced untick the second item (in folders other than inbox) if you dont want the mails saved in the sent items folder then that untick it in tools/options/email options (again second item)
