Outlook 10 won't open in Windows 8.1

I have a new PC with Windows 8.1 and am using my old Office 10 applications. If Outlook10 decides to crash, it seems to leave a .tmp file. When starting Outlook again, because this .tmp file exists, it seems to think there is another programme using it, and Outlook refuses to run. Also, trying to delete the .tmp file doesn't work as it also seems to think that another application is using it. This is a bit of a catch22 situation. ... Any ideas please?

Hi Friend,

Perform a clean boot to determine which program is interrupting the Outlook. If it still shows errors, there is something wrong with your Outlook programs that’s why it is not able to start and getting crash.

It can be happened due to:

Corruption in navigation pane Corruption in Outlook PST file Compatibility issue

To know more about clean boot in Windows: click here more: click here I think you should use the computer as an administrator to troubleshoot these issues.

Thanks Clark Kent
