Orange Spam

Since Orange took over the Wanadoo/freeserve ISP I have been inundated by spam. The Orange spam filter seems totally ineffective in filtering even the most obvious spam messages. Are users experiencing the same problem?

I dont think its only Orange, just lately I get loads on my ISP that previously got none. I think Blair and Bush have done a deal cos they are all from the USA.

not me. Don't get any spam.

Yes, and many of the things are duplicated or triplicated.

I'm with Orange, formerly wanadoo/freeserve, and only get about 1 spam per week! I only use my Orange email addy at sites that I trust not to sell it on, fo all others I use throw away online addy's :-)

i am with orange - my experience is full of spam - partly filtered - 15 per day - partly not - 10 per day - the mixture makes no sense - i do not blame orange - i am changing my address - but that is another story - jarani

Same here bullseye50
Have been with Freeserve/Wanadoo & now Orange for years and had no problems with spam at all, in fact I always use to sing their praises about how good wanadoo spam filters were doing to stop this rubbish from getting to my inbox. But now I'm getting 15 a day approx, I have done nothing to the spam filter settings since the changeover.

I eventually made contact with Orange tech support and they could not shed any light on the problem (Surprise surprise) but gave me a contact address and phone no and email address should I wish to pursue the matter further.

Thanks to those who have responded. since 7 Aug i have collected 180 messages in the SPAM box but received over 100 which should have been marked as spam but were sent to the in-box. These include the usual Viagra, rolex watches and share pushing scams (all in triplicate) which should have been identified by the ISP filter. I will follow through on the abuse address above but I will not be taking up Orange's offer to buy other broadband services!

I've just sent an e-mail to that address.
