I have used Orange for years from the Freeserve days - over the last year or so i seem to get periods where the connections drops fairly regularly. At the moment drops when phone rings. I go through the horrendous help desk procedures continuously, then it will clear up and be OK for weeks or months then start happening again.
I have 3 questions;
1. Would a change in ISP make any difference - I get the distinct feeling this is a BT line related issues and am not sure I would be better off with a different ISP - I live on the limit of the Exchange too - Any thoughts from people who have changed.
2. Are there any alternatives to broadband - I don't live in a cable area but may be willing to invest in a better solution.
