Can anyone out there help?. Is it possible to have an optical cable switchbox, to link the PS2 and the DVD player to the surround sound system, which only has 1 optical connector? If so where can I get one?

I have never seen a simple switching unit for fiber optics, they’re mostly complicated affairs that have their own CPU’s to do the switching.

You may be able to use a duplex connector, if you contact these people and ask for their catalogue:

Good luck

How about an optical cable splitter used in reverse, joining two outputs to one input?

May be worth investigating.

Have a look at click here product number L82AF.
