Opening screen in Win XP Home

  [email protected] 15:42 10 Jan 2011

Until recently when opening up on my machine I eventually got a full page blue screen with the word Welcome writ large in the centre.Things after that more or less carried on automatically until arriving at the Desktop with its icons. No problem.
Now when opening up I get a blue screen with a line down the centre splitting the screen into two halves. In the LH half is the word Welcome and in the RH half is an icon with my name on it which I have to click to load my settings.
I would like to get back to the original opening but don`t know how to do so. Any suggestions very welcome.

Look in User Accounts Microsoft has probably downloaded a new user account called ASP Net or something like that I so just delete it.

It sounds as if you have turned off the auto logon function or changed your user ID or crated another user.

If you have turned off the auto logon function read click here. There are two manual ways of returning it to auto (no password) click here

If so delete it.
If not ASP try one of those.
