opening publisher file in open office

  mco 11:31 11 Dec 2005

Can this be done? I've downloaded a publisher file but my version -98- is too old to open it and although I've got openoffice (1.3) I can't seem to open it through that either. What am I doing wrong please - or else is there another way to open this file?

MCO - Not possible unfortunately; pub files are unique because other office suites generally don't have an exact equivalent to Publisher. What version is it for? If it's 2000, email it to me and I'll see if I can save it as an earlier version.

mco 16:20 11 Dec 2005's just a Christmas mind-map worksheet I got from an education website. I will email it you, with your permission, and see if you can save it as an earlier version. It might be later than 2000, I don't know. It's just too late for mine!

I just emailed you though it was a rather odd experience, via the forum..

Hi mco, got your email and tried the link...

...doesn't work for me either so it must be a Publisher 2003 file!

Never mind, it was worth a try.

If anyone has Publisher 2003, they could use the info here click here to save it in a format that anyone, even without Pulisher, could view. G

I've got Publisher 2003. Send it to me and I'll try the method in the link posted by Crossbow7.
